Every defenseman (not just Scuderi and Schenn) had a lackluster game. McNabb made some poor decisions and Muzzin had a number of bad giveaways and took a penalty. None of those four players has good foot speed or the best decision making under pressure, which is largely why SJ and their speed is a bad matchup. I don't really see shuffling the chairs making much difference, since the personnel isn't there. SJ is going to exploit LA's defense and, like in 2014, LA is going to have to rely on their offense and Quick to make up for it.

I'm looking forward to Gaborik returning, but I'm not getting my hopes up that he'll be as up to speed and effective as LA needs him to be. Perhaps, though, his return will give the team a boost and, maybe, pull a bit of SJ attention away from other players. We'll see.

Wow! Kings are absolutely speechless. They have nothing! Might as well just start planning for the next season. These players are not cohesive and they don't play for a common goal. Don't bother signing Lucic, he's been a non factor the entire season for the salary he's making. Resign Versteeg, he's actually a competent roll player. Go out and find a stay home D. Throw money at the D, not the forwards. D is the ings game, win the 2-1 games as they used to do and we'll be fine. Bring up Merch and start all over again...without Lucic. Good grief!

I turned the game off near the end of the 1st period. Doing something that's actually enjoyable makes the next few hours fly by and be much more relaxing. I heartily recommend it. You can't get upset at what you can't see
